Gettysburg Gardens grows a wide range of plants with a concentration on plants native to North America, particularly the eastern United States.
We grow Primulaceae, especially Primula and Cyclamen, culinary herbs, Salvias, geophytes (bulbs, Corm, tubers etc.) both hardy and tender. Our nursery's aim is to find and grow plants less usually seen in commerce, as well as commercial varieties.
We will being doing less plant shows this year. We will be concentrating on improving and growing our business here in the Adams County area.
If you are interested in visiting or learning more about us please call 717-359-7997 or email johnbartlett@gettysburggardens.com
Our plants are grown to be of a size convenient for planting by the average gardener. We do not sell "landscape size" plants. The plants are labeled and are as true to the name as we can make them.
Every effort is made to grow varieties offered for sale in an appropriate setting on our farm, either in the display gardens near the nursery or in case of tender plants, in seasonal beds or pots.
We will be open May 1, 2026 by appointment only. If you have any questions or for an appointment contact John Bartlett at johnbartlett@gettysburggardens.com
